Gear Collections

        These photos are taken of The Ohio State University collection of gears and other mechanisms. The Illinios Tool gears were purchased in 1954 for $9000. We have not identified the source of the other gears. A brief description of the gear types is provided and we are certainly interested in additional descriptions from viewers of these pages. Professor Gary Kinzel is to be thanked for spending endless hours refurbising and photographing the gears.
